Calcium Stearate

Characters & Properties:

1. Insoluble to water, while dissoluble to toluene, alcohol and other organic agents;

2. Flammable, nontoxiic and without vulcanization pollution;

3. It will be gradually decomposed after heating to  400°C , and when mixed with strong acid, it would decompose and generate stearic acid and calcium salts relatively;

4. Due to its untoxic and free of pollution, it can be used as the stabilizer and lubricant for PVC products.

 

Usages:

1. Be used as heat stabilizer for PVC and lubricant for various plastic processing;

2. Also can be used for soft film of food package or appliance of medical equipments;

3. It can be taken as absorbent for polyethylene & polypropylene to eliminate the adverse effects of residual catalyst on color and stability.

4. Besides, it can be served as plasticizer for rubber processing, intensifier for grease, water-proofing agent for textile, flatting agent for paint, or plasticizer for plastic disc, etc.
